How to Merge PDF Files in the Right Order
Decide the page order first
Rename or sort your source documents before merging so the result follows the correct sequence. For recurring reports, a consistent naming scheme such as 01-cover, 02-summary, 03-appendix reduces mistakes.
Merging should not require rasterization
A good merge operation copies PDF pages directly into a new PDF. That preserves vector graphics and selectable text instead of turning every page into an image.
Verify bookmarks and forms
Interactive forms, bookmarks, attachments, and unusual embedded content can behave differently after pages are copied. Open the merged file and verify important navigation or form behavior.
