What this does — and what it does not do

PDFKite can apply a certificate-backed PDF signature using the credential you provide. It does not issue a trusted identity certificate, perform government-ID verification, or provide a qualified trust service. Long-term validation (LTV), trusted timestamps, qualified electronic signatures, and regulated identity proofing require an appropriate certificate authority or trust service provider.
